Nothing like a new parent to speed up the product development process.
Cadbury Schweppes acquired niche juice company Nantucket Nectars about two months ago, which is about how long it took NN to develop a new line of juice products called Nantucket Nectars Summertime. The drinks began rolling off production lines quicker than usual because of additional research and development resources available after Cadbury Schweppes' acquisition.
A seasonal line, the Summertime brand will be on Chicago store shelves only during July and August. The new drinks are Watermelon Lemonade, Lemon Limeade and Maine Berry Punch.
A radio ad campaign is running to support the Summertime launch.
