Failed FlavoursCalifornia Melon Berry - Spring 1996-February 2000California Melon Berry was quickly dubbed 'California Smellin' Berry' by our sales force. The drink used real California cantaloupes, which apparently didn't always have the sweetest odor. As one juice guy put it, 'The combination of these fruits made the drink smell like those weird circus peanut things.' Likewise, it turns out that people just weren't psyched to be drinking cantaloupes. Considering this flavor was such a dog, it lived for almost 4 years! |
