Nantucket is located 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. A booming whaling island in the 17th and 18th century, it was once the third largest city in Massachusetts, with a population of 10,000 people. Today, the island is home to approximately 9,000 year-round residents. This small island is roughly 4 miles long by 14 miles wide and boats 84 miles of shoreline. Because of the traditional grey-shingled houses and the frequent fog, Nantucket is often referred to as the "Little Grey Lady of the Sea". The sea breeze is strong and the boasts are plenty. Nantucket remains home to the Allserve General Store where Tom and Tom began their juice adventure.
After spending just a few hours exploring the docks and the back roads that crisscross Nantucket's town, it will become clear there is more to this popular vacation spot then breath-taking scenery and a colorful port. Nantucket is driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to hard work that lies at the heart of the island.
